Palm oil is a natural
and well-balanced edible oil, having a unique chemical composition that offers a
large number of advantages when compared to other different types of vegetable
oils. Palm oil is highly rich in nature-made chemical compounds which are
crucial for health and nutrition. Palm oil is achieved from the palm fruit
which is found in dense and humid rainforests. It contains Vitamin E,
carotenoids and antioxidants.
The reasons why palm oil is immensely
popular include the following:
- It has high utility cooking properties. It is tasteless, odourless, does not affect the cooking in any way, and maintains its incredible properties even when used under extreme temperatures.
- Palm oil’s smooth and creamy texture and no-smell properties make it the most suitable ingredient for a large number of recipes.
- Palm oil is rich in natural preservatives which increase the overall shelf life of different food products. The oil itself has a very long shelf life as it does not get rancid so quickly.
- Just contrary to other vegetable oils, it is naturally semi-solid and never requires any hydrogenation to be suitable for solid applications. Needless to say, the hydrogenation procedure is responsible for the making or generation of trans-fatty acids which are not good for health.
- It is very rich in Vitamin E (tocopherols & tocotrienols). Actually, no other vegetable oil contains as much Vitamin E as Palm Oil has. Vitamin E is considered to be the most powerful anti-oxidant that makes it well capable of minimising the damaging types of oxygen molecules (free radicals) in the body.
Due to all the
above-mentioned properties of palm oil, the need for palm oil refining plant is
growing like never before. Indian oil refining plant manufacturers, at this
juncture, are playing a great role in the establishment of such plants. They
are fulfilling each and every need with complete control over quality.
